SUMMARY:Transplanting and Food Boxes Give Away
DESCRIPTION:During Watchmen Day 30 Days Challenge we will do as many things as possible for mankind. \nWe will give 200 food boxes to 200 families during our our 12 hours plants transplanting into individual pots. \nYou can drive through pick up food. We encourage you to help us with some transplanting. Join the Watchmen Operations. \nWe will attempt to transplant 2000 plants on this day(May 1st). That is a lot of labor hours. \nWe will give away 1000 plants and compost the following weeks to the community(May 8th 10am-2pm)(if you have plants to give please drop it off here). \n  \nJoin our event. We will also BBQ- free food for all helpers. \nThere will be pop cans you can painted on. DESCRIPTION:Please join us on this end of season garden clean up and get the garden ready for spring planting. \nActivities: \n\nWe will be harvesting and removing all the plants from the garden\nBuild a stormwater catcher pond: already pre dig\, need extra digging with a shovel\, and put the liner on it.\nBuild 3 compost bins\nTilt the soil: mist the topsoil and manure into the soil.\nPutting mulch around the perimeter to prevent weeds from invading the garden\n\n  \nTool: \nWe have a few shovels\, some garden tools and a wheel barrel. If you have any please bring with you if possible. \nWe are still looking for a tiller. If you have one please see if you can bring it. Please let us know in advance. \n  \nFree Lunch: \nLunch will be serving at 1:00 pm. \n  \nCovid-19 Safety: \nWorking in small group of 3 or less. \nWhen you work in a group with close contact-wearing a mask is needed. \nWe will be handing out Watchmen Masks to everyone($10 value) \n  \nIf you like to lease a plot to planting please sign up for a plot. \nWhat is the purpose of the Watchmen Community Garden? \nWe educate our youth and our community on gardening \nBring  fresh produce back to our food pantry \nProduce income from our harvest to fund the watchmen Operations: Martial Art\, Self Defense for youth and for our community\, food pantry\, community clean up\, environmental protection\, Watchmen Community Patrol\, Local Disaster Relief.

DESCRIPTION:Have you seen enough garbage flying around and pile up across the street\, parks\, river\, etc that polluted our environment\, clog up the storm sewer\, endanger to wildlife? It’s about time we do something about it. March with us for a trash-free community. \nWatchmen Community is hosting a Trash Free Movement on October 26th\, 2019. \nCo-host: Prospect Park Neighborhood Association and Kingdom Connection Village \nCurrent participating organization: Creative Vision\, CommonBond Community\, BeBrave\, Project Hope Connection \nTrash Free Movement Costume. We recommend everyone to wear a costume during the march that promotes garbage awareness and environment protection. \nCostume Contest: Winner will get prizes. Made your own costume. Think about going green\, recycle\, environment\, trash\, littering\, can\, bags\, stuff that end up on in the river\, ocean\, the storm sewer\, thing that left on the park\, the neighbor\, etc. \nKingdom Connection will bring their drill team during our Marching for a Trash Free Movement \nMusic: DJ IVAN – Ivan has been a long time DJ for Party and Wedding \nBBQ\, Food and drinks are available to everyone. \nWe will clean up Prospect Park. \nKids\, the elder\, and people that are allergic to nature will be cleaning at the parking- light duty but time-consuming \nWe need about 30 young adult or adults cleaning up in the wood where homeless people left their trash behind-big job!  We like to haul all the junk\, broken bicycles\, clothes\, craft\, bottles\, etc. out of there. \n  \nThe Des Moines Park and Rec will provide bags\, gloves\, and grapper.  However\, it may not be enough for everyone.
